Collection: World of Monopoly

Monopoly has been bringing families and friends around the table for a night of backstabbing, arguments and greed for decades - but in a fun way!  This classic economics game was closely inspired by the Landlord's Game, patented by Lizzie Magie, which taught that an economy that rewards individuals and small business is better for majority than one that favors a monopoly that holds the majority of the wealth. Charles Darrow controversially created a patent based on the original Landlord's Game rules in 1935 and sold the rights to Parker Bros. Since then, the game has adapted to include thousands of licensed themes and formats - such as dice, card and video games. All the while, many unlicensed build-your-own opoly games have been produced to celebrate individual interests. And many of our favorite games today take inspiration from the mechanics and themes envisioned through Monopoly, making it one of the most influential games of all time.
